Artistic Director ~ Regan Brooks
- Regan Brooks is a musician from Southern Alberta. Her love for choral music has always been a major part of her life and began with singing in the Medicine Hat College Girls Choir under the direction of Joanne Collier. Regan received her Bachelor of Music (voice) and Education from the University of Lethbridge. Here, she sang with the U of L Singers under the direction of Dr. George Evelyn and Dr. Janet Youngdahl.
Regan is also a Learning Support teacher for the Lethbridge Public School district and continues to workshop and conduct local elementary school choirs. She teaches voice lessons privately with the uLethbridge Music Conservatory and has run singing and music programs for children. - Regan sings with the Chinook Chamber Singers and Sweet Breathe Ensemble. She enjoys the challenging choral repertoire and singing with her fellow music educators.
Regan founded Ventus Women’s Choir in 2015 as she wanted to create a vehicle for the many talented women in and among Lethbridge. She continues to strive for excellence in developing choral conducting and vocal pedagogy has worked with Dr. Graeme Langager and Geoffrey Boers and Richard Nace.
Accompanist ~ Bonnie Plewes
Bonnie Plewes was born and raised in Lethbridge. She began taking private piano lessons as a child and continued into early adulthood under the tutelage of Linda Dickey. She began her piano teaching career after high school and earned an A.R.C.T. degree from The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Bonnie has played for various choirs in and around Lethbridge since 2004. Besides her love of piano, she has also played clarinet, french horn, trumpet, and various percussion instruments during her years as a member of The Lethbridge Community Band Society. She continues to balance her family life along with the demands of a full piano studio as well as her work as a choir accompanist.
